1JZ Question

I was just wondering if there is a difference in swapping in the twin turbo 1JZ and the later single turbo VVTI 1JZ? Harder/Easier? Any pics is someone as done it before. Planning on doing a swap sometime in the near future, i'm just gathering info right now.

There is more wiring for the vvti and its harder and more expensive to tune.

can you at least swap the turbo and manifold from a single vvti 1j and bolt it on to the twin turbo 1j??

NOPE.

vvti 1j is an easy swap/ It's actually a lot simpler than tt from a wiring standpoint. It's such a good street engine.

^^ You happen to have any wiring diagrams or connector pin outs for the 1J body circuits? I'm in the middle of my 1JZ VVT-i swap and I'm having a hell of a time figuring out where these body circuits go. Thanks in advance.

VVTI = Single turbo as well not twin.
