1jz powersteering help

ok so i finally got her start and she runs perfect but i have no pwersteering i connected the replacement high pressure line to th rack to the top right fitting on the rack and the one alittle lower and on the left goes to the pwersteering cooler do i have that run right?? i'm almost posistive it is.and i mover the 7m resevoir to the driver side of the car the little line going to the cooler and the big line running into the pump . it drank a lot of fluid and now and still nothin could it be the pump? or did i miss something

Sounds right...maybe you just need to put in more fluid. If the rack is empty and you have a big cooling unit it might take a decent amount of dexron.

Be sure you don't have any air in the pump or rack! otherwise you'll be replacing parts :( But yea, that system takes a lot of fluid- when you manually turn the PS pump pulley, does fluid flow into and out of the reservoir?

put more fluid in... :p have someone sit there with a bottle of atf fluid and turn the wheel.. keep it full..

Does the car have the progressive steering option, if so some times the little vavle can get stuck closed and you will not have power steering. Just a thought.

lol all i kno is that i had power steering wit the 7m and now i don't i beleive i do have pps also there is a little connector on the rack thats not connected i gotta find out where it that could be my problem.

if you have pps it should be wired in. look in your resovoir to determine how much more you need its really not that hard. i would turn your steering wheel while its running as well

I had power steering before, then SP installed my aem & the power steering is gone! Any idea why??
