Interesting.... It seems the true capabilities of the 1JZ are still relatively unexplored as of yet. It’s like that one article about the JDM MKIII's said, the 1JZ is an unsung hero. Maseo, your friends car is just flat out awesome, throw some props his way from the supra community here

All this talk of "tourquless 1JZs" is horse radish!!!, I made 470 tq with my 1JZ and 500hp. Nice vid though it gives us a goal of times to beat.

But if you had a 7M it woulda made 530tq. lol
Gota love the same old excuses from the uneducated.
Who cares if it makes a little less tq then HP. Its got tq, just not more then HP. Its a higher revving engine. Ive yet to see a high revving engine make more tq then HP.

I cant wait till mine pulls the front end up . Damn. lol

^^^ ya i think youre on the right track... if the engine couldnt rev as hihg (or wasnt revved as high) i bet it would make less HP than it did torque

Of course a 1JZ will make heapsOtorque the 7M just makes it's torque much lower in the rev range where it's noticable in everyday driving.
(it's leverage from the longer crank think of a breaker bar on a wrench)

You can't/don't pull 6000+ in peak hour traffic.

exactly. people think just because you dont make all your torque before 4000 means you dont have any:lol:
