I datalogged a run and at idle their are 11.7 volts, the biggest drop is to 10.5 at 13psi. Can i eliminate the map sensor as the problem since pressure showed up on the datalog?
Should be at least 13.8v under power there's something wrong with your alternator.
For sure the alternator?
You own an
electronically controlled fuel injected car. It runs on electricity, it's filled with computers. If the electrical supply isn't 100%, nothing will work correctly.
So start with the basics:
What is the first thing your car needs to run? A battery -
have it tested
What is the second thing that your car needs to keep running? An alternator -
have it tested
Once you have those two items out of the way, you have a basis for a sound electrical systems.
If your electrical problems continue
after you have verified that the foundation is good, then start testing wires, once they pass, test components.
But I'll just about guarantee you that you won't get that far. Your electrical system is borked, and it's 90% likely you have a bad alternator, followed by possibly a bad battery caused by the bad alternator.
And when you're done fixing this, go back and replace your plugs with plugs gapped at about .029 - there's no reason to gap plugs down where you have them unless you're trying to push 45 psi of boost.
