7jz... 7m bottom end with a 2jz head if you use the 1jz headgasket it lines right up since mk3's came with 1jzs in japan i had to use a custom built k&n filter to get it to work though...that wasn't cheap but i dont kare dare to be different stand out from the crowd yo but its your care so do what you want man it doesnt matter which way you go cuz both can make tons of power but the headgasket s not good on th e 7m cuz of the rods youcan use the tranny so that s good it handle all you can give it unless you r ij beleeve me i done 15 or 30 of these swamps ivolving cars that r supras and they all are motors and will do the sam thing yo put big turbo on and go after the lag and tires spinning

1JZ......No torque. :(
7M...........Torque. :)

1JZ......Metal Headgasket. :D
7M...........Blown Headgasket. ;)

1JZ.........$4,000+ for basic BPU Swap.
7M..........$4,000+ gets you one NASTY @$$ motor. :runaway: !

1JZ.........Rev happy Straight 6.
7M..........Diesel-like Grunt.

1JZ...........AMAZING motor......but some like it, some don't.
7M............Build it right the first time, and look back with no regrets. ;)

I realy want to see a running "7jz". Also I didn't throw away my 7m, Im thinking it will add some torque to my T100 4x4. It might actualy get out its own way.

7M= Guarenteed HP.

2J swap= Going through alot of motions but the outcome will be guarenteed HP.

1J swap= Going through alot motions for not enough return on investment, and will eventually have to be swaped out to a 2J due to being beat up by 7M's..lol..

7m is standing out but they sometimes have been known for problems creating lots of boost personaly im a fan of the 2j na-t swap but its up to you do something YOU want too who cares what everyone else thingks its your car do somehting you will be proud of the ebst adivce you can get on looks and ideas are your own if you have some crazy idea go for it no one is sotping you but liek is aid ima fan of 2j swaps 1js are nice but when you get into producing big numbers and are looking at shooting high with big turbo(s) the 1j your missing out on that .5 l's and their isnt (to my knowledge) a storker kit for it either unlike the 2j so do what you want and dont elt anythign stop you

How does anyone get a 1JZ to pass smog???

Most states (Ca. for instance) will not smog certify any motor that was not available in the U.S. It's illegal to drive it on the streets if you can't get it registered, and you can't register it if it won't pass smog, so...?

Personally, I wouldn't do a 1jz even if it was legal here...it's as much of a hassle as a 2jz swap, but you're minus a half a litre. 2.5 litre on a Supra??? I've never liked the sound of it.

Frankly, If I had the time, and was dead-set on a swap, I'd go LSx.

There, I said it. And don't act shocked...you know you want it!.

My brain hurts so bad.
I read as much as I could without taking a breath, ....then just skimmed through trying to find just ONE period.
I found one, but it was for [ .5 litres].

Please use punctuation or at least
a
space
or

two.
