Picture this *hypothetical* situation
You bought a 1JZ originally, or your 1JZ block was damaged. You bought an ULTRA rare and unique turbo kit for the 1JZ. Then, you think "I've never seen this turbo kit on a 3.0l block." I know this kit on a 1JZ made 524rwhp at like, 24PSI, and OrinB made 590RWHP way back in the day (on a 3.0l block) on a Blitz K-26 kit (SARD and Blitz use different manifolds) on the same setup I'm using (except I'm going with the better Sard kit, and bigger cams), and after I bust 500RWHP, if I'm not happy, I'm throwing another Walbro in the tank, and running a dual feed rail for my AIC's and to feed the 800cc injectors more fuel.
Maeso busted something like, 600-700RWHP on this kit. He popped a wheelie in his MK3 at the line, and ran a 9.XX in the 1/4 mile with this same kit, just on a 1JZ 2.5l platform, on a STOCK 1JZ engine, with this kit, injectors/pump, and a standalone, no nitrous. I will be running Meth injection, and pushing 24PSI on ONE walbro, and later on, see what two can do at 30PSI (Stinger EMS only has a 3bar, but has more options than my Megasquirt....).
Knowing all of that, and considering I paid $600 shipped for my 2J-GE, which was a good price, wouldn't you do it too? It's not like anyone else in the U.S. is matching my mods. I think I'm the 1st to try with this kit.
My other hybrid motor, used a 2JZ-GE head, and 1JZ-GTE block. Are you going to tell me thats a stupid idea too? The head flows more, and the block can rev higher... Why didn't you think of that one first
? Hey, at least I'm trying.
(FYI: Easy way to spot a 1.5JZ, is to look at the water pipe from the water neck to the water pump, it's twice as long.)
