1jz/r154 install.... CHECK!
fluids....CHECK!
harness and all connectors pluged in.... CHECK!
Fuel.... CHECK!

Key in hand, hop in the drivers seat to fire it up for the first time!!! and nothing... i hear fuel and injector but that's about it... the starter won't engage or even attempt to make a sound...

i'm hoping an effed up starter... but i maybe looking over something...

i've checked my grounds, fuses and everything looks good.

anyone have any ideas before i pull the starter... it's kinda a bitch to take out.

Does the key send power to the small wire on the starter? This power should go through plug B1 pin 12, in the ecu area.
Did you bypass the NSS?

Do some testin before wrenchin. Likely not a starter issue.

haha it's basically what you said... the small wire to the starter is completely missing... i was able to get the car to turn on last night for the first time!!! i had to jump the starter with a screwdriver and have some one turnthe key at the same time... so the starter does work! i have to see if the wire is still attached to the ecu and trace it back and if not repin a wire in.
