I DD'd mine at 18 psi for almost 2 yrs. Anything over and they turn into hair dryers.

I thought it was 15psi on the twins....

I made 310 rwhp with a 3" turbo back, FMIC, hard pipes, K&N intake, and a SAFCII @ 13 psi. thats with twins that would start to smoke after 30 seconds at idle.

340whp @ 16psi thats nice I can make that kind of power real easy then I know these motors can make big power. Im new to the JZ Game so I still have alot 2 learn. I also have 3" turbo backs and downpipe with a FMIC full piping.

well, I'm not sure that it's easy.. it's more or less that I got lucky if anything even with those mods sadly. twins are a game that's unpredictable at best, some have luck with them and others do not. so far mine have been good to me and only tend to smoke on decel after these two years. that's taking it easy especially in the summer with the occasional 18psi run.

Yep, there was one guy that made 422whp. He had an aem, 272 cams, 3" twins back, 550cc injectors, 22psi and a very good tune. IIRC, they lasted all of 1 month before eating themselves.

22 psi on stock twins? we are talking bout 1jz right..ct-12a because i always read everywhere that they don't last for nothing after 14.5-15psi.. mine diddnt...

How much could be made before the car's fuel cut would become an issue?

I would run 22 psi on my twins, but only with race gas (leaded) I never did it on pump (91) My best with HKS downpipe, HKS Catback, HKS hardpipes and a Blitz tuned ecu was 327 on stock twins at 15 psi.

I never put the car on the dyno with 22 psi, but I knew that the fuel pump (mk4 denso) wasn't enough for what I was doing with the car.

Get some USA 2jz cams machined to work on your 1j head and go single turbo with a holset. Thats budget right?

I'm not telling you what its 'supposed' to be or what I read, I'm telling you what I've DONE in real life and know for a fact worked for me and another local car (supraracer01) for 2 yrs.
