Sounds like plug gap more than anything. Make absolutely sure your coil pack connectors aren't cracked and missing their locking clips too.
QUOTE]

I have dual walbro so i should have plenty of fuel then.
Yea plugs was going to be my starting point. Coil pack connects were not cracked last time they went in, I assume the locking clips are for the wiring? My car is missing two, always has been, i talked to my toyota parts manager he was stumped cuz he cant order 1j parts and he didnt feel like lookin to see if any other toyotas had similar connectors. I beleive rcts used a very high temp silicone to mount them. I was hoping they new were to find them. I had totaly forgoten about that until now. Ill have to add that to the list.
Should i be using the stock gap, or use a smaller gap to prevent spark blowout?

I'm very surprised RCTS didn't know where to get them, seeing as how I bought them from there years ago.

The coil pack connectors are interchangeable with 2JZ connectors. The 2JZ ones will actually give you a more solid connection. A new set of 6 is about $50 from Toyota.

Check your plug gap first. Should be around .028". Run coppers, not platinum, or iridium. If the issue isn't solved at that point, buy new connectors for your coil packs. You would be surprised how much of a difference they can make.

Don't come on here and fucking lie I never told you there was a walbro in it. You pulled the plate off? To look at the fuel level sender? Do you know what you're talking about? My car wasn't for sale but you just had to have it. It was put together the way I had time to do and it was fine the way I had it for what I needed, There were no short cuts, just things I hadn't done yet. It's not a perfect car and was never presented as one. You looked the car over, drove it and bought it now its your problem. If you want to sell it back I'll gladly give you half of what you paid. It's too bad you couldn't just do it yourself but judging by your other two you couldn't fix I doubt you could've done it yourself. Have fun dropping the gas tank :biglaugh:

Don't call me anymore as I do not have any desire to talk to you, its your car that you wanted so god damn bad so fucking deal with it I don't have time to hold your hand.

You should calm down. First of all, i didnt just pull that out of my ass. I asked and i heard it either from you or one of your buddies that was over there when i was sitting in it. My friend that was there can back that up. Second, it was a stupid miscommunication. Im not expecting you to hold my hand. Again, i know you didnt take short cuts. If you think you still need to be mad, then so be it. I only call you to clear things up considering a lot is done to that car, and just by looking at it you cant tell what you did or didnt do. Sorry if you think i came after you about it.

An A1000 for that little power, isn't needed.

Nate is an honest guy and doesn't cut corners, just look at his Blue car. The white one does need a few small things but it ran like a beast when he had it. In this case, sometimes things should be left alone when you don't have a clue about cars. I knew and everyone else knew it was on an N/A pump and I believe he would have told you the same. Nate is that kind of guy.

Well it's time you did something and after all, you ended up buying a car that you didn't have to do much with. Minor things and that car was set and good to go for a long time. Nate called me when someone wanted to buy the car and when I found out it was you, I kinda laughed since I know some of the history from Nate. One being that you wanted to make a targa out of a hardtop.

Go ahead and tell me about the boost control now, I would love to hear this. I already have a response for you so make sure you are accurate in what you say first before responding though ;)

PS: By the way you drove in Centralia, I'm surprised that you haven't crashed that yet.

Ok, I'm done.
Duane

Ok obvously an a1000 isnt needed. whos to say i wouldnt upgrade anything else? This was before i knew it was the stock pump anyway.

I never accused him of cutting corners, you should know considering you were at the meet. I was joking with him at one point about the boost controller, since it wasnt calibrated for internal wastegate but that was nothing more than a joke. The car leans out before and after the fpr which nate says it was fine which baffles me. and no im not accusing him of lieing.

I already installed the fpr and adjusted the boost controller, but i guess i dont work on the car...funny considering ive only owned it a month. It was setup for a external wastegate with overboost issues....that accurate enough?

did nate tell you i also wanted that hardtop to targa conversion car to be caged and race it? I decided to sell it so instead i didnt even bother anyway.

oh and i may be young but you have no idea about my driving experience. show up to a track day and see. :) Thanks for backin nate up about so far you dont know what youre talking about.

Don't get ahead of yourself, you just bought a car with 300 hp nothing more. I suggest take it one day at a time ;)

I was at the meet but I, along with a few others avoided talking to you since our blood was boiling after your so called, "driving skills"

WOW!!!! Sweet, you turned the knob!

I know about the boost controller as it was mine hence why it was set for an external waste gate. Not accurate since it worked fine and it's not hard to turn a knob. ;) You can open a door too right?

You're something else thinking that you could change the car over LOL. Whether you race it or not, it's a dumb idea but you being young, it makes sense. It's something better left alone for many reasons.

I was referring to your complete lack of respect for other drivers on the road "driving skills" You know, the one when you cut off the car in front of us on the way to Centralia? That car was not controlled in any way shape or form so if you think you can drive, you need to go back where you were taught. You should be thankful that no one went over to you. More than one person was a tad pissed about that. Yup, that was some real driving skill there. :3d_frown: You could have caused a serious accident.

Nope, I have no clue and have no idea what I'm talking about. My car came from the factory with 815 RWHP

The bottom line here is, the thread has served it's purpose and it's obvious that Nate doesn't want to talk to you. Also, don't insinuate that he has done something wrong when in fact he hasn't.

End result, the thread is closed.
