I have an intake plenum and a set of 680cc fuel injectors on a high flow rail and I am unsure what kind of electronics i will need to run this kind of setup. I figure standalone is the best route, but my funds are low and I heard that piggy back can do the jon. What do you guys think I should do?

OK
to get the best out of your 680s and intake plenum it would have to be a stand alone but a piggy back like greddy emanage would do but if you were thinking about using a safc or afc neo i don't know if it will do. from what i remember any injectors larger than 550cc is hard for piggybacks like afcs to control if you can't afford a expensive stand alone as of right now maybe you should look at others like mega squirt, hydra, stinger and maybe the apexi.

I'm mainly looking at the emanage systems or the NEO in this case. The NEO seems to have some poparity, any word on how reliable it is?

can NEO handle timing mods too? If not, I wouldn't use it.

So does the NEO just adjust fuel curve, if so how would i go about installing this mod? Retarding the timing and tuining??

Yes, it adjusts the fuel curve, but the age old fallacy of piggy backs is that it fools the ECU about the amount of air the motor is receiving.

I'll explain:
-The motor is taking in 40cfm of air
-The piggyback scales the signal, thus ECU thinks that the motor is taking in (let's say) 20cfm of air, so it reduces the amount of fuel, holding the same amount of timing.
-The piggyback, by way of user AFR corrections, increases the amount of fuel to maintain the correct AFR, but the timing goes unchecked.

In short, going with injectors that are a modest size increase won't effect your timing. However, going with injectors that are almost twice the size of stock would be insane. Your timing would be so far out of whack it wreak havoc on your tune.

The ONLY way I would run injector that large would be using a stand alone ECU.

I plan to eventually run the gt45 turbo i got with a 50mm wastegate. That will turn out to have a 4" exhaust downpipe and all. I'm looking at getting a smaller one due to the overbearing wheel spin the gt45 may produce. Probably something like a super t70 or gt35, but for now i want to see about switching out injectors and and turning up the fuel pressure to like 45lbs. on the twins. I dont plan on turning up the boost on the twins at all. I already know that the gt45 setup would have to be a standalone setup. The fuel system has a single walbro pump but will be dual when I go single turbo.
