1jz intake manifold

what all is involved with mating the 1j upper to the 7m lower?

i just rebuilt my engine, everything looks brand new , and i just cant see that hideous manifold going back in the car. esp since my new fmic is in/out opposite sides

can you elaborate,please ? i'm no stranger to fabrication. i just don't have a 1j mani laying around to see for myself..

the 1j mani wont mate to the lower 7m intake pendulum. they are different. either youll have to mod the 1j to make it line up or like nosechucks said get/make an adaptor. i believe the alternator will need to be relocated to where the AC it, and the AC will go in a box marked parts.
why not just make a custom FFIM if you've had experience fabing?

pundulum.. anyway, im aware they are different,and also know enough about toyota to know that they are prob very close. im not a fab professional but i know my way around most of it.. making an entire manifold is a little different then modifying them.

could buy just a manifold for $550+, but if your like me and don't need something that high quality or Blingy, i guess well have to wait for the adapters.

Thats alot of work...Could have made a custom one instead.

But I am in the process of doing something similar to that.
