hi im new here and i just got my 1jz that i ordered from tiger japanese and when i ordered it the add said it came out of a supr but from the looks of it im guessing they screwed up and gave me 1 from a lexus, i think this because the tranny has an electronic speedo instead of a mechanical speedo. Also i thought the interior plugs that followed the ecu plugs in were susposed to be the same from the 7m supra to the 1jz supra? cause mine are different, totaly different cause my 89 supra olny has 3 plugs under the das and the wire harness has 5. i was wondering if there was a way to find out what my motor came out of by the numbers stamped under 1jz on the block, the numbers are 5074961. also i was wondering just in case the company doesnt fix their screw up is there a way to change the speedo over to mechanical without tearing the tranny a part. i was wondering how much of the wireing harness would i have to modify if i got 1 for a 1jz in 1 supra, just lengthen in which i know is going to need done any how which brings me to ask if any one knows how much longer i need to make it cause i heard 18in one place and 3ft another which has me confused. thanks for any one who has read this time. please help me im a freak in need i want my beast to liveagain and i need your guys help so please figure this out for me.

That motor you have it out of a Soarer. A JZA70 Supra motor, will have near the same plugs for the interior. It will also have a hydro fan, and I am sure you have a clutch fan? I hate when companies send the wrong shit. If they sent you the trans mount too, I bet yours is aluminum. If I were you have them fix the mistake and get a jza70 Supra one.

yeah dude i had the same issue with them when i bought my 1jz in march... i gave them details on exactly what car i wanted the motor to come from.... just to give you heads up they will not give you anything but maybe a $100 credit.... that's what they offered me and i told them to shove it up their ass and i would let everyone else know they suck BALLS!!!

i guarantee you, you got a jzz30 motor and harness and ecu.... cause that's what i got...

BTW 18in will be fine to extend the harness.

not sure if the R154 that has the electrical speedo sensor can be swapped out with a mechanical one, simple fix maybe look into swaping trannys with someone on here...

i fixed the problem. all i needed to do was swap the speedo gear onto the mechanical unit from my w58 from the electrical which just involved pressing the old 1 off and pressing the new 1 on with a lil epoxy, now the wire harness
