So... can the 2JZ head gasket be used on a 1JZ? It seems the OEM style head gasket and Head gasket sets are very hard to come by for the 1JZ right now.(Tsunami related?)

Thanks for the response. Actually, I looked at the DM site. While it looks like they have the 2JZ head gasket, the 1JZ stuff is on back order. Fortunately someone was nice enough to offer me a spare one they had for a reasonable price. Regards.
Never got the part I paid for. Looks like I am back to trying to find a 1JZ head gasket. Anyone have one?

i have a 1jz headgasket brand new from dm in case anyone needs .. email me edgruber@hotmail.com check me out on clublexus and supra forums .. been around over 9 yrs
From the all the research i have done and other people personally using it, i am going to be using the 2jzgte headgasket to put my 1jz back together. Some people even claim to have lower coolant temps because of it, but i am unsure if there is science to back that.
