My car would not turn on today. I would put the key in and turn it for a start, but even the dash lights or anything wouldnt turn on. I try to put on the flashers and they wont even turn on either. I think I have a short somewhere, but can put my finger on it. I did see that my EA2 connection was connected very loosely and it fell off when I was checking it's connectivity.

Any places a should first look?

Check the EFI fuse. If you are not getting dash lights, it could be only the wiring between the fusebox, the starter and the ECU, or the ECU itself.

battery is not dead, this has been confirmed. also, i noticed that when ever i connect the battery the positive side terminal heats up, like as if it's shorting out. EFI fuse and ALL fuses are not broken.

the only time ive seen that happen is when they tried putting the battery backwords but it would blow your main fuse to boot.

If all your fuses and fusible links are good, chances are it's either the main positive wire to the cabin at the battery or the circuit breaker in the drivers kickpanel. I'm betting on the wire at the battery since I've had lots of problems with the connection there.

i'd check for a break or cut in the main battery positive wire. and all grounds on the motor and chassis

On my old 7m supra, I had an internal break in the smaller positive lead coming off the battery. I found it by opening my door with the keys in and moving the smaller wire around. Once I heard a beep, I knew I had found where the break was.

Okay guys, I got a lot of hints from people and Dr. Tweak really helped me. That guy really know his electrical shit. It was a power wire running off the starter that capped-off but the cap fell off and kept touching the body of the car and would short out the system. The EA2 connector also had two bad wires that wouldnt light up any of the dash or the car at all! Everyone thank you.
