1JZ catch can hose size question

I'm putting a breather catch can on my 1JZ and I was wondering what size hose I need to run from the valve cover to the can. The can is just going to have a filter on the other side of it, I'm not running it back to the turbo inlet.

I bought a can on ebay, and it came with 3/8" ID hose (the auction said 1/2", but my ruler says otherwise), with an adapter that adapts it to plug right into the stock 18mm hose. Is this too small? I don't want to cause excessive crankcase pressure under boost.

If this won't work, can anyone recommend a catch can that costs about $65 or less?

Surprised nobody knows.

For anyone else searching for the same thing....

I used the ebay catch can for the coolant overflow bottle (just cause it worked so well for that). I was searching ebay for a better breather can and picked up a Jaz Products mini breather can for $15 used. It's got dual 3/8" inlets with a nice large filter on top, holds 1 pt. Gonna run both inlets to a T-fitting (dual 3/8" to single 5/8") and run 5/8" hose to the valve cover. That should be plenty of breather flow for a mild 1JZ..... I think. I saw a 7M-GTE guy used the same can with no problems, and even a guy with a mustang cobra used one without any issues (google search).

Earth shattering update:

I took one of the 3/8" fittings out of the can and threaded it for a 5/8" pipe fitting. Capped off the other side. Now I don't have a mess of hoses and fittings. I also found a source for silicone oil resistant breather hose, and elbows (cause one is needed on the valve cover outlet, it's too close to the turbo pipes for straight hose to fit without kinking).
