I'm not familiar at all. I originally bought my supra to put the 7mge engine into my '87 4runner. Thats still then plan, but I got the bug to put a JZ into the supra as well. Iv'e pulled and rebuild a lot of motors and have done a RB swap into a 240sx, but Supra's are definately a new thing to me.

If you're not familiar with JZ swaps, you should get a motorset or clip.

Some people who have done a few can start with much less and put together a running car but that's because they're very familiar with the swap, all the little small things, and were to source parts pretty easy.

Cool, thanks for all of the help guys. I'm trying to make a list of everything I should ask if the clip includes before I buy the motor.

SO far I have:

Downpipe
PS reservior
MAP sensor
o2 sensor
igniter

Anything else?

add this to your list

fan setup
power steering resovior
power steering line
2jz throttle cable
oil pressure, hose adapter
radiator hoses
intercooler
intercooler pipes
intake
1jz bell housing
clutch
probably more, but cant think right now. you might as well get a clip with all the time and money finding all the parts.

if he buys a motor set it comes with all of that stuff.

like i said previously a motor set from JHOT will have EVERYTHING minus the hydrofan, but they might have one laying around they can throw in for a little extra $ and if not buy a MKIV WP.

now if the OP is just trying to by a longblock with ecu and harness then yes he would need your whole list

most places wont give any of that crap, its strictly motor, tranny, harness, ecu. Jhot may be different. im just letting him know if he gets a motor set anywhere else hell most likely need those parts. if JHOT include that then damn thats the way to go for sure.
