I want a new resevoir for my hydrofan but the Toyota part number is invalid. I'm thinking maybe I could use a PS resevoir since they are about the same size and the nipples are the same size. Anybody think this is a bad idea or have any other ideas?

A PS resevoir will work since they both are PS fluide
Have you tried looking at a SC400?
What I mean is they also have a toyota hydrofan so maybe use the factory resevoir in those:dunno:

I would get a good idea of where you want it, and go to the junk yard. Pretty much any PS reservoir will work. Just find one off any toyota and it will look stock :)

My brothers SC400 is 1992 or 1993.

All the SC400s not 430 have a hydrofan & reservoir.

Goto your local junk yard & see for your self!

I think I may have a JZA-70 hydro fan reservoir somewhere.
I sold the slimmer radiator water reservoir that makes room for the intercooler a while ago though

There's nothing wrong with my reservoir other than it's stained and yellow.

Take it out, degrease it, block off the outlets and fill with thin bleach! leave overnight drain rinse well and it should be a lot cleaner and less stained etc.
