1J Dyno Time

Went to CFT Mustang dyno to see what the 1J twins can do. Very happy with the numbers considering it's untuned and with only BPU. :icon_bigg

1st = 285/304 (hp/tq) at 10 psi
2nd = 294/309 (hp/tq) ... watched the boost gauge went to 12 psi and stayed there.

The dyno ops said it ran rich at higher rpm. With the dynojet it could be around 330hp. Can't wait to up the boost to 15psi and get some fuel tuning.

awesome numbers the sound on video 1 scared the shit out of me. I saw pics of your car being swapped on SF it made me PM Dr T and ask him how much he charged for the full swap BTW your car is beautiful.

HAHAHA... yeah that first vid was something. BTW, props to Dr Tweak for putting up the 1J and got it running as it is now. He isn't on SM but he's very popular in other Toyota forums.

About a month, I took it there on Dec 9 and Dr T got it done around Jan 13 I think. But I had other things done like full suspension, upgrade the fuel pump with walbro, new clutch, custom exhaust. But it was worth the wait.

good power, you should be in the 330s on 16psi

that's what the dyno tech said as well. already looking into Greddy BCC and boost controller to get the boost up. But for now yeah the car runs absolutely smooth and great with that power.

Good numbers dude. I made 293 at 12psi as well. I'm running about 18 right now with some 100 octane but haven't had a chance to redyno. Feels like night and day to 12psi though, I'll tell you that. They should just call this crack fuel, not race fuel 'cause I'm addicted.

nice numbers.. I'm sure a/f was rich up top.. peak power is a bit higher then 5500 usually.. theres more left in it..

stock ecu, you're right there's more left in it. Wanted to break the 300 mark with it but just a bit shy.

I guess the numbers don't lie the car does feel like a rocket on 2nd gear around 2500 rpm all the way to 4k. The tq just keeps coming. I'll take her to the track next weekend to see how she'll run.
