O.k. with a fresh approach I went out for more testing

unit off ... climbs fast to 15 psi and hit cut

unit on with these settings

set...25%
set gain...20
gain.........0
warning ...12
limiter.......9%

cimbs fast to 13 then slowly crept to 15 in 3rd abd hit cut
held at 13 at WOT in 5th slight uphill grade

I then tried to lower it as much as possible with these

set.........5
set gain...1
gain.........0
warning.....10
limiter........5%

at these settings I boost to 13 slowed and again crept to 15 and hit cut in 3rd but will hold at 13 in 5th at WOT

I wonder if my y pipe , 3" downpipe, 3" exhaust. no cat, 24x12 x3" IC may have pushed my stock boost over the fuel cut mark ??? Any ideas ??

outside climate

20* c ( 68*f ) @ sea level
engine temp...180*

Cheers
Bruce

A friend ran 22psi on stock twins for over 3 years then they blew. They took abuse like crazy. So a few quick run wont hurt it.
I ran 19psi for 5months, beating the hell out of it. then I went single.
When I took them off No leak, no shaft play nada.
So don't freak out if you spike or run higher boost.

Ok, if you're actually hitting a higher boost with the unit off, I can tell you right now what your problem is.

You have your solenoid imporperly installed. I bet you anything you have your pressure source going into the "NC" port instead of the "NO" port.

The solenoid's COM port should go to the WGs, the NO port to your pressure source, and the NC port should be open to atmosphere. What happens, is before the Profec B reads a positive pressure, the solenoid is in a steady state where the COM (common) port is venting to the NO port (normally open), this is a failsafe incase the unit loses power. As soon as it reads a positive boost, the solenoid *clicks* over to the COM port being vented to the NC port (normally closed). It will hold this position until your preset boost level (2psi in your case) where it will start cycling between the two states at a rate detirmined by your gain.

You have your ports backwards, so what's happening, is without power, the wastegate never sees ANY pressure, and NEVER opens.

Just so you know, if you were hitting boost cut without the controller even being installed, the controller can not lower that.

Well your right I did have one thing wrong on the install ( the NC plug left in ) it didn't change anything unfortunatly it still hits cut on or off so it's a fcd or safc in my future or probably both . The random lower numbers I saw may have been just me wishful thinking and not testing the same each time ( just a little excited ). Heres a quick vid of how quick i'm hitting cut and without a tach I can't say what the rpms are doing . The only option right now is to keep an eye on the guage and stay off the 15 psi mark :nono: not so easy as you can see :icon_bigg
