Same answer in this thread as your last one. If it's going into a MKIII Supra, 7MGTE or 1JZGTE would be the way to go. And the 1JZ would be the most advanced of those choices.

the only way that i would go with the 1g, is to rev it to 9k and twincharge it with a t04 and the sc from the chaser

Those Skylines have the RB20det ( R32) & RD25DET (R33,34). My one 1G holds its own against GTS-T's all the time. The Type-M model is just a GTS-T with GTR Bodywork.As far as i know rb20det stands for RB, race build or breed, 20 is the engine size, D means dual overhead cam, E means electronic fuel injection and T stands for turbo.
The rb20det was the engine that started it all, yep the rb26dett gtr engine was in a way developed from the rb20det, nissan launched the rb20det for the r31 skyline in 1986.
RB20DET specs:
No. and arrangement of cylinders = 6, in-line, vertical
Combustion chamber type = Hemi-spherical
Valve arrangement = Overhead valve type
Camshaft arrangement = Double Overhead Camshaft
Total displacement cc = 1998cc
Bore x Stroke mm = 78.0 x 69.7
Compression = 8.5:1
Bhp = 214bhp at 6600rpm at flywheel
transmission loss = 38bhp
torque = 185 lb/ft

even i would have to say if given the choice i would go 1jz for the fact of the power and all out durability of the engine. but hey for now 1g all the way bro!!!! lol

if i was going with an RB, id go with an RB30 bottom end with a rb25/26 top end and a huge snail :evil2: problem is that therb30 can only be found in IJland.

the skyline and supra are almost alike,the only differeses are the rb26dett and the 2jz-gte,but they both can hold the same amount of power up to 1500 hp,even the old schools like 7m-gte vs rb20det

1JZ or 2JZ FTW. I don't understand how this is a debate? lol Skylines are overrated, and the only reason that people get so excited about them on this side of the pond is that they are rare. I'd take my 2JZ MKIII over ANY Skyline any day! :D

I only wish toyota would have made the supra awd then it would have ben perfect

More points of wear, more broken parts, more expensive stuff to fix... AWD is really a pain in the ass on high-power vehicles.
