1G GTEU(good or bad)????

hey, i was wundering is the 1G GTEU a good motor? is it better or worse than the 1JZ or the 7M GTE? i currantly have a 7M GTE and i was looking at getting a 1G GTEU from japan or a 1JZ but im not sure about the 1G GTEU???:1zhelp:

The 1GGTE doesn't make as much power as either the 7MGTE or the 1JZGTE. It's kinda a novelty because not many people have them...but there is a reason for that.

Stick w/ the 7M or go 1JZ or 2JZ.

there is a dyno of my stock 1g in the general section listed as 1g dyno vid. not much but hey its stock and its twin turbo. i agree go 1j or 2j or 7m. the parts are somewhat hard to find for the 1g.

However, I'm sure if they had the option of a larger displacement engine (STi's 2.5 liter) they'd rather have that. Don't handicap yourself...

my feeling on the evo is this: if you're going to be pushing 18.5 psi out of the factory, you sure as hell better be making more then 300hp... not 285...at the crank.

hmmm...and i guess they couldn't have run a bigger turbo, needing less boost, as that would have probably yielded spool problems... am i getting somewhere with that? :icon_conf
