I was reading that earlier, thats where I got the idea.

What about just making the stock hood cowel higher?

TBH the only reason the hood is cut in that pic is because of the high mount turbo, you would really need to take measurements and compare with the 7M

Self-proclaimed "600" hp, TO4Z cruiser.

I've never seen it move very fast.

Check out this 6.7L I6 Cummins Turbo Diesel. I've seen lifted Rams at the drag strip and they smoke most of the imports there. Those things are fast. When they take off it looks like a locomotive.
