I have a Supra that's developing a starter problem.
Sometimes i'll drive up to the corner store and grab a pack of smokes then get back to my car and it won't start. I can press the shift lock over ride button and put it in nueteral and it will sometimes start.
But today,it won't start at all. I can hear the starter relay clicking in the passenger kick panel, but no lowering of voltage(according to my voltmeter) and no starting.
Are there different types (mounting that is) of starters for the Supra?
I've read some posts where it's recommended to take out the bolt from the front of the starter, but mine looks like it has the bolt on the BACK and the housing is threaded.
But more importantly, does this sound like a starter problem at all,or am I barking up the wrong tree?:1zhelp:
