Yes, I would think you'd want the JDM tb if you're going without egr.
Ideally, you would also want the JDM ecu.

I'll be sticking with the EGR setup then. I don't have a JDM ECU and I don't feel like trying to find one. I cleaned up all my EGR pieces, so I may as well use them. I just need to figure out if my older EGR components will work on my 1990 Supra.

They should. EGR parts are the same for all years.
And removing the egr system doesn't change power at all, since it only operates at part throttle.

Do you or does anyone else know if the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) is the same for a Japanese and US model? My JDM one is a lot nicer looking outside and inside than the US version.

I also didn't realize how hard it was to come across the little check valve in front of the IAC. Was going to order one from Toyota but new ones are long gone. Luckily I found one in the JDM manifold that is in nice shape. A new would have been $58.00 if they were still available!
