As stated earlier, on 125 miles of almost flawless driving after engine trans removal, at hwy speed at 1/4 tank fuel when I kicked the accelerator the car baulked and then began running rough as though had bad fuel or fuel line trash or water. Installed new fuel filter, then removed fuel tank.... After installing new fuel filter and new Denso pump.... still no joy. Cannot believe how clean the tank and pump strainer are. Vehicle stars and idles fine. However, just as soon as you begin to move forward in first gear it acts like it is going to shift but power falls of and there are skips and hesitations at 1800 2000 rpm. Will not allow the transmission to up-shift. stumbles and falls back to idle and quits. IN neutral I can gradually increase rpm to 3 4 thousand rpm with only slight hesitations. All suggestion are appreciated, as I am getting Targa withdrawal.) Help....

Possible issues?... Fuel pressure regulator, pump resistor, throttle position sensor, air flow meter, bad catalytic converter. Anything else and suggestions appreciated.

Stumble when you accelerate is usually air/fuel ratio. Not necessarily volume, but volume affects ratio. You need to see that the air flow meter puts out. And check codes as suggested.
