Hello fellow Supra citizens. I am new to the Forum and I was asked to post pics and so I shall. Now lets get to business. Well to all of you Supra lovers out there we have a bone stock 1989 Supra Bright Red with Targa Turbo bone stock virgin. Did I forget to tell you the mileage. No! I was saving the best for last.... Hang on to your seats.... 36906 original miles. Impossible!!!!. Well yes it is possible. A very considerate and giving gentleman who fell in love with his supra 19 years ago placed it in his air conditioned climate controlled warehouse. Fortunate am I that a very good friend, son of the owner, showed me the car in storage and the rest is history.
Enjoy!...
I will treat her well and she will be taken care of and placed in my non-climate controlled garage and shown on the weekends bone stock.

See the Virgin here now!

Thanks all. I am not looking into modifications. If I do they will be discrete. I am looking into the damned head gasket issue. The HG is fine now but I would like to prevent any damage. What is it with toyota and loose bolts. I can't tell you how many loose bolts I have found underneath the hood. My Valve Covers (VC) were leaking and I when I checked the VC bolts they were all finger loose. Seems that those Toyota techs were limp wristed back in the day

The valve cover screws require VERY little torque...the spec is 22in/lbs. You likely need new valve cover gaskets and grommets for the screws.

And it seems like there is a lot of wear on those seats for such low mileage...Toyota's leather interiors seem to have sucked quite a bit back then...doesn't seem like they hold up for very long.

But anyway, that's a beautiful car that will be worth a lot one day...keep it stock and enjoy it. :)

Thanks for the kind words. I plan on keeping her stock. She is in the garage now and I plan to use her as a weekend holiday driver only. I am going to save up my dollars and replace the HG and seals as soon as I can.

The leather seats were very dry. Funny thing is that the passenger seat is in worse shape and torn versus the drivers seat. I have been told that the leather seats on the older supras were of sub par quality. The driver seat has no tears.

The targa roof has not been removed for over 15 years now. I am almost afraid to try it fearing a leak might start.

My previous project car was a mustang 1988 notchback 5.0. She was a lot of fun, easy and inexpensive to work on. I do have to say though that the supra has a firm flat ride on the road. The faster you go the heavier it feels. Nice change vs the mustang which was light and squirrelly on cornering and at any speed over 70mph. The supra looks a allot better as well. Go figure that a car designed 19yrs ago still has a modern new look to it.

well i suppose then a BHG would be the equivalent of "popping her cherry"......since it is a virgin and all, lol..........great find, like everyone else said, dont mod it at least not too much.
