Since im now living in the very top right hand corner of the Panhandle, there isnt a damn thing to do but think about my car. I was this{} close to finishing. Then they say hay move. anyway ive never really done the fourm thing. I have read over shoulders and threw arms for hundreds of hours on here. The good new for now is that i can now post big pics, IE

In your pic it looks like your fuel lines are routed INSIDE the car. Is this true:aigo::aigo:?

yes they are inside the spare tire dugout. The whole situation is covered by a 1/4in, might be slightly less, Aluminium. Im almost sure it 6061 plate. "thanks Dad" shhh:sarcasm::naughty:
The IHRA and NHRA prolly wont see it this way but im good with it for now.

To say more about the stand alone. It was sold as a Spectre EMS Pro. Spectre had nothing to do with building it. It is a version of the Mega Squirt v2.0 and v.3, and some unit specific programing. It has alot of very nice features but they are not vehicle specific in the least. You have to know and make your own VE, fuel, boost, spark timming tables and SG of fuels. It requires you to set your own constants just to start with. How ever once you get a base tune you can set boost to specific RPM down to 10rpms or specific gear. Set up a two stage launch control as well as 2-stage nitrous. Tune fuel to boost specific as well as rpm and or gear specific. Built in Rev limit, shift light control, boost control, 3D mapping on all accounts, data logging up to 45mins. Also runs any wide-band 02 you can find. All it needs are a few GM sensors and a way to control ignition. Im choosing to use Ford EDIS and the factory coils for now. There are several ways to do it including LS1 COP and 2j COP too. For EDIS you have to use a ford ICM and a VR sensor. Inoder to use the VR sensor you need a trigger wheel. It can be the CPS wheel, a cam mounted wheel or crank mount. Im using the crank mount, cause its ez and im tired of tryin to figure the wireing for the others. I bought mine from DIYAutotune.com who are very helpful and stock alot of universal ecm stuff. Other than that its pretty ez to use.

Here is a pic of the EMS PRO:
p1160961_1.jpg

Here is a fuzzy pic of how we mounted it:
p1160961_2.jpg

You can use the factory TPS with the EMS with a little bit of a mod.
p1160961_3.jpg
p1160961_4.jpg

The EMS can control a number of IAC, Im not going to use one at all and just tune with tables for warm up enrichment. im not sure if i should cut it off the side or just plate over it.
p1160961_5.jpg

This is the GM coolant temp sensor:
p1160961_6.jpg

In the top left corner of the pic is the GM Boost Controller. It is a 4bar sensor and the same used in the Typhon and Buick GNX. I heard they will hold up and are reliable.
p1160961_7.jpg

This is the harness that came with the computer. We'll clean that up when it starts.

The factory radiator was good for scrap and was replaced with the KOYORAD. very nice:
p1161064_1.jpg

p1161064_2.jpg

The factory fan works like a champ but sux a bit of power and takes away from the motor's song so I put a 16in. electric on a custom mount.

p1161064_6.jpg

The factory oil cooler was still in great shape but i didnt trust it one bit. Throw in a super fatty cooler with a fan that doesnt pull but just a few amps.
p1161064_7.jpg

p1161064_8.jpg
Clean that up later, looks dirty as hell with the flash
p1161064_9.jpg

Since i put the ffim on i relocated the battery to the righ rear corner of the hatch.

p1161064_10.jpg

I put this in for a catch-can and a breather. Dont mean to ask a question but, I heard somwhere that the 7mgte PCV needs a slight vacume to it, hence the return to intake from factory. Is this true, should I change this to return?
p1161064_11.jpg

Since the FFIM is a modded factory one the alternator need to move but not a whole lot, so we made a relocation bracket. Simple enought right kevin? I will sand it down and paint it real nice later.
p1161064_12.jpg

The exhaust is commin along pretty good. Ive got everything but the muffala. The Manifold is an XSPOWER, but I did some work to help flow and if it breaks my dad said he would rebuild it better. He's been wielding for about 40 years now so I believe him. The down pipe is a custom piece made from a very nice stainless V-band short radius el and a BIC big mouth DP. Then comes the JEGS cutout soon to be electric. The cat-back section is a Cool-eez "thanks for the extra one too":naughty: Its all 3in, from turbo to tip, when i get it.

Throw this on there: 40mm

And well i dont have any pics of the cut out or the Cool-eez but we all seen'em before. right

When I made the decision to pull every factory wire out, i was pretty scared but it dropped like 15lbs. the only wires left were the light pigtails which i might replace anyway. Im making my own harness, in it will be, head lights, tail lights, four turn lights, just two braking lights and 2 reverse lights. I will split the tails into three separate lights instead of all three in one housing.
Here are some pics of the wiring mess

The split of the lights, well kinda
