Sup everyone. This is my 2nd MX73. Bought it for $600 from a nice elderly lady up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Found this beauty on Craigslist. I am the second owner. Car has 105,525 miles when I bought it. The car is an automatic for now. Right now I'm in the process of setting the stance real low, installing my Supra LSD and bolting up my stock 7M-GTE setup on it till Spring. I'm in the process of building up my 7M-GTE engine and R154 trans. Here are some pics of the car and the future power plant.

Lowered the Cressida. The ride is much is better and the stance is real nice.

I realy want one of these. How close are the engine bays of this and the MK3?

The engine bays are pretty close. The 7M just drops right in. I already helped my boy with '88 7M swapped Cressida. The only thing that takes a little long is the harness to get wired up.

I love you.

I was thinking on the lines of a LQ4 being dropped in. And Ive heard the CTS-V headers fit into an MK3 just fine.

Take the other hubcaps off! They look sick slammed on the steelies.

You should fill in the lettering on the 3000 pipe and have someone cnc out "2800"
that'd be cool :bigthumb:

There not hubcaps. Those are the factory wheels and the full size up front. I'm trying to acquire 4 more of the spare rims. I just like the way they look with the lip.

Well the 3000 is gonna be true in the spring lol.

AHH! i love these cars!!! How hard was it to turbo it? Same 5m ecu? Fender flares and wide wheels FTW!!

It wasn't hard. I just was mostly a bolt up setup with a few minor modifications. Nothing hard. Yeah 5M ECU for now with a Piggyback ECU. YOu read my mind man. That's the next major mod. Can't wait to get the fenders pulled and flared. For wheels trying to get an ol' skool set with a fat lip.

UPDATE

Sup Ladies and Gents. Haven't been here in awhile. Hope everyone is doing okay. Close to 2 months now I spun a bearing and seize the block in my car. Well there's so many engine swaps. 6M-GE, 7M-GE (GTE), 2JZ-GE (GTE), 1UZ, VQ, etc. Well since most of the swaps require a lot of wiring and custom mounts. I decided to do a bastard 6M-GTE. Uses stock engine mounts and looks OEM. With the addition of a MK3 Supra turbo setup.

Here is what this swap consists of.........................

1) 5M Head 12 Valve (Toyota Cressida) Just had redone.
2) 7M block 3.0L (Toyota Supra Turbo)
3) 7M Oil Pump
4) 5M Oil Pan (Front Sump)
5) ARP Head studs
6) ARP Rod Bolts
7) HKS Metal Head Gasket
8) Gates Timing Belt
9) New OEM Toyota Timing Components

I'm also gonna do a wire tuck and clean up the bay and remove unnecessary components. Like the A/C and the rest of the power steering stuff.
