1987 supra strut noise

when i repeatedly push down on the front fender, i hear a slight popping noise. It sounds like it is coming from the strut assembly. I originally noticed this noise when i drove out of my drive way. The slight popping noise annoys me.
I took off the TEMS assy. and checked and tightened the nut on the center strut stud. Noise still there. please advise tks

If the bolts on the top of the strut are tight, I would check the ball joint. Jack up the car and push up on the wheel, if it moves at all your balljoint should be replaced. Check the bushings under there as well, I had a bushing in the rear squeek, just put some wd40 on it.

how do you inspect or check the bushings to determine if they need replaced?

How do your bump stops look. I installed kyb gr2's, ST springs and new bump stops. My bump stops in the front would pop on me until I trimmed about 1-2inches off of the plastic.

Could also be worn sway bar bushings, a very easy fix.
