Well, the project has begun.
This is no turbo but it is in great condition and deserves a chance.
Like I said before, I found this 1986.5 Supra that had been under a tree over four years. :3d_frown:
I spent 2 afternoons with a pressure washer.
The body has no rust (I don't understand or can't explain) but the paint is faded so it needs to go to the body shop. It also has a dent on the left door.
So far I have replaced:
Fuel pump: (there was nothing much left of the old one)
Brake system: (complete with rotors, calipers, master cylinder)
Clutch including master cylinder.
The engine was low in compression after 240,000 miles.:aigo:
I hate to stop a car for a long time while I rebuild the engine so I bought a low mileage engine from Japan. The compression on this one is awesome:evil2:
The interiors need a lot of work.
I found a almost new dash board in Canada (thanks Phil at Adrenaline Motorsports)
I am going with Leatherseats.com for a new look and maybe a logo on the head rest.
The steering wheel will be replaced but i like the cruise control option. I am planning to relocate the controls to the center console close to the seat lumbar adjuster.
What do you guys think? Has any body ever done this?:1zhelp:
That's it for now I will keep you posted!
