Slowly wrapping it up. I just need a slip yoke for the trans now and a driveshaft. Well I got a ton of nickel and dime stuff like gauges and interior and stuff but the big things are almost behind me. Thanks for your support!

A few pics with the radiator in! Car is wired and you can reach your hand in and turn the key...and it sits there idling.. Very smooth with good compression which was surprising with the gunk I found on the cams. Obviously missed a few oil changes. Hard to believe that a motor we cherish, people in japan treat like we would treat a cavalier...lol

We got raped by snow and I had about 5 ft of snow accumulate in front of the garage doors from where it slid off the roof. This hurt business due to not being able to pull in cars, but it worked out good for the Starlet since it was already in the garage. If I could work on it this much every day I would have it done in a week LOL ...but that doesn't pay the bills.

So we are down to:
Bodywork
exhaust
driveshaft
roll cage
interior
wheels/tires
mount 8.8 rear dif

Here i a teaser of the front end I made to delete the bumper

Because I had to do this 4-runner scoop to close the hood:

Here are some pics of the body and wiring progress. All of the stock gauges work but the speedo...cable driven, not sure how im going to do that one. Prob put a lexus gauge in the starlet housing with a custom face to match font.

I am going to be running the stock 4-runner scoop insert or a mesh. Possibly even welding the hole shut and making it a bubble rather than a scoop. Rain isnt that big of an issue as many of my friends with supras run that hood that is literally 75% mesh. Here is an illustration of my perception of possible outcomes between the scoop and the cowl hood. I also think that when finished the 4-runner scoop will have a more believable stock appearance.

Im not trying to be sarcastic or stupid but if you saw the height of cowl required to get clearance that close to the front of the hood you would surely agree. I respect and appreciate everyones input but this is just to explain why I made my decision as such.
