Just traded my '04 Triumph Daytona 600 for this 1960 VW Beetle (I'm an amputee and can't ride anymore) this is my GFs dream car and now that she has it, I can reclaim my 1JZ swapped MKIII (although she was pretty sexy driving it) now I just have to figure out how to work on a VW, and I was just getting used to Toyota's...

Her parents are going to have it painted for her birthday

wow man, the interior and exterior is like night and day. Exterior looks like it went through WW3. That interior looks damn good though!

Yeah I know, the car was restored at one point but was still rocking the original paint. Then it sat for several years outside and nature took its course on it. The interior really only needs to be cleaned. Overall not a bad trade me thinks

Those old VW's are extremely easy to work on, so you shouldn't have any issues

Funny, the coolest episodes of Wheeler Dealers had VW's... then again the mechanic on the show likes them and knows them very well. Worth a watch.
