I honestly don't know. Kimber lists the Ultra Carry II as 4.75" high, 6.8" long and 1.28" wide (entire gun, assembled). That help at all?

I've always wanted to pick up a Kimber, but every time I have one in my hands I think of something else I could do with that $1400+ and wind up putting it back.

That is why my AR is Rock River, and not Wilson Combat.

youre going to want a officers size frame in series 70 if you want to build a sub compact 1911.

Where would i find such a monster? My searches have come up nill. Could i not take a government size and havemhave the dust guard machined down?

No because on a government size the slide travels a longer distance backwards durring recoil as the slide stop is in a different location....officers travel shorter distance:-/.

Caspian arms
Fosters "caspian blemishes"
Fusion fire arms
Wilson combat
Les Baer
And brownells all sell 1911 frames in all different configurations

Keep in mind that putting a 1911 together always requires fitting and cutting...they are not like ar-15's
