18" or 19" wheels advantages/disadvantages?

im in the market for new wheels. i've decided to get some work meisters. anyways im wondering if 18's or 19's matter much. i plan on getting mildly aggressive offsets if that matters.
sorry for a simple question but if yall need more details please ask.

IMO 18's are the best for us, 17's give too much play and sidewall and 19's are too F & F .
+35 offset is perfect as well.

I'm running 18"x8" +35 rims on my car right now, and there's absolutely no clearance issues. The rims came with 225/35/R18 tires, which end up being 1.*% larger than stock wheel diameter, so the speedo is pretty accurate still. I'd like to a 245 in the rear at the very least once these ones burn off though, the 225 is slightly stretched over the 8" rim and I really don't care for that.

IMO 19's end up as too much of an in between size. There are starting to be more and more choices for tires and wheels for that matter in 19", but not enough to make it worth while. Unless you can comfortably fit a 20" wheel on a car (which obviously not on the Supra) then I'd go with an 18" wheel for cost/looks/performance reasons.

You'll pay considerably more for a 19" wheel/tire combo that will perform the same as a comparable 18" set-up. The weight will be negligible for the most part. Really you're just limiting options with a 19".

In the real world taller sidewalls will save the rims a bit, I'm on 18"s and consider them a throw away item after xx miles, I'd run 17"s but tire choice is very limited here.

19"s would need to be 30 series to keep overall diameters abount the same and would last me 5 minutes on our roads.

Well I've ran both 18" and now 17" and I love how much better traction, and ride comfort I get out of the 17" vs. 18". In my opinion it is a perfect balance of rubber and wheel. But if your completely stuck on going with 18" or 19" I would go with 18" wheels. Comfort, Traction, Price, Clearance.

Im running a 275/40/18 in the rear and 225/45/18 in the front.
That gives me a 26.6 tall tire in the front and rear.
Its just under having the rubber of a 17 with the looks of a 18 and also fills the wheel well better.

I'm running 18's. 235/40 on the front, 265/35 on the rear. In California they were fine but now that I'm in the Northeast, they are very rough to drive on the poor roads around here (potholes, unevenness, etc). Id switch to 17's but I have the Willwood 13" brake kit and my 18's provide enough clearance for the rotor and piston.

thanks everyone for your replies. i did want to add that i already ride on 18" wheels since im going to upgrade to what i consider to be nicer wheels i threw around the possibility of running with 19" wheels.
ive got 13" ARZ BBK on the fronts and rears so i didnt want to go with 17".
i also live in the southeast and the roads down here for the most part are pothole free. i use to live in the nyc so i know potholes everyday im glad i left from up there!
