Well I think the 5 speed and gearing is what helps the mk3s run times like that with 600 hp and mk4s need 900 to 1000 to do it, they are all geared for highyway, pretty useless normally. One mk3 in MO runs 10.2 and 10.4's with 612 rwhp and stock tranny.

No need to compare MK4's to this

They cost more, and put less $ in
BPU mk4's have run 10's. Many times.

Shawn you're proof of what a nicely built auto can do at the drag strip. Great runs man that's damn impressive.

besttrans - how did you get the jz retainers to work wiith the 7m head?

Good question. I dont know. The Company that did the head is DPR. I'm sure Dave Localio from Head games would know. He did the head on my 96 supra.

heh that's kind of wierd.
Springfield, MA ---> Spokane, WA.
That's about as far away as you can get. Yet, the same guy built heads for both.

Duane is in Canada, but Ron Ramirez is in Seattle, I think. WA state somewhere.
Check out the "Misc Vendor" section. Ron's in there. His work is top notch, and he makes them all one at a time, to your specifications, as in vacuum ports, ISC provision, TB flange and size, etc...

I am here at Ron's every weekend to help on Nate's car and start on mine again next week!

Ron can make anything!

(Duane on Ron's computer = too lazy to log out LOL)

I didn't see anywhere on here where it told how much boost you are running. I may have missed it, but I read the whole thread. It sounded awesome on the dyno. I love it when your at full boost on the dyno. Mine sounds good to me and I'm only at 14 psi.................lol

I only run c-16. I check plugs all the time and they look great. Ofcourse the botton end is built - je pistons - crower rods. We thought of putting together a stroker motor but i don't think we'll need it to go in the 9's.
