Yea, I had a local welding shop make me a one piece steel. It vibrates bad at 65 and up. It was balanced too, but I do not think it was balanced for those higher rpms. Good luck.

Pcs? If you want a 1 piece driveshaft go to shaftmasters.com. They're high quality and well balanced. I've been using mine for over a year and haven't had a single problem with it.

Umm, that's not really funny, considering 1, the speedo isn't accurate, 2 that is unnecessarily dangerous in a 20+ year old car.

My speedo doesnt work ;), and mine is a 20 year old car with parts less than 1 year old ;);)

I didnt pay big money to not do some "spirited" driving on a closed course ;). I do understand your concerns :)

Was every single part of your chassis in terms of bushings and links replaced as well?
I will go ahead and say no.

dont be a damn nazi... if he wants to take his car to 150+ MPH then let him...
if something is gonna just fall of and break it would probably happen at 80-100 anyways...

driftmotion uses jawsgear last time i checked, and i got a steel one which i'll never buy again. it was garbage... i'd get aluminum this time, and make sure that i got it from shaftmasters... and if your worried about vibration then get the 2pc driveshaft from the which includes a new center joint.

Thank you sir.

For sustained high speed runs go two piece

Yes, what they are referring to is the driveshaft's critical speed. Here is a thread with some good info on it.

Also if you search "Driveshaft Critical Speed" you will find a good deal of info as well as experiences with it.
