ok tonite in st louis the air was horrible for a turbo car. it was 45% humidity, the barometer read over 1000ft above sea level, and temps were in the uppper 80's with track temps close to 140*F. consistant 12.0 cars were running 8mph slower and 7/10 a second slower. hell the ls1's couldnt even break out of the 14's lol.
anyways i finally figured out how to launch the car on the new rubber and clutch. got her down to a 1.95 60'ft and ran a 13.38 @104.12. not impressive numbers for my mods, but considering that a 02 Hurst z28 with longtubes, ypipe and a true dual system couldnt get passed a 13.7@103. im happy.
i got to talking with some of the more serious racers and they told me tonite was one of the worst of the summer. they told me to expect 6mph more and .5-.7 second faster times on a better night. now just to get the bastard tuned and the 4.30's installed and it will be a whole new animal.
