1.5jz question

Seems like some people don't weld and redrill the oil feed section on 1jz head when mating with 2jz block. Is the welding and redrilling really necessary? Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the oil feed on the block? If so most people get an oil sandwich plate so they can run an oil line for their turbo on a 2JZGE block.

you must mean the 2jz-ge block not the 1JZ head, as stated run the IS300 union bolt or a sandwich plate to run the oil line

ive never heard of anyone welding and drilling the head

Ive read where some people have welded and redrilled the block or head, but it isn't necessary. I've ran mine like that for over a year now and it never runs hot. I wouldn't bother doing it if I were you.

yeah the last 3 years of 1.5jz i still havnt had a problem just dont be cheap and youll be fine for you people using the ge block.
