daneyan;975030 said:i test fitted my borg warner s474 which is comparable in size to a gt42 on my drewgo manifold on my 1jz engine in an mk3 and it fit fine. Just had to clock the compressor housing so that the outlet faced downwards.

drewgo;975046 said:yeah, actually one of my customer has a gt45 with a 1.06 T4 back.... a.k.a. Donky turbo.
His issue is the height.
daneyan;975538 said:i ran my piping at the bottom where the bottom radiator hose is. It's a shorter distance from the turbo to the intercooler with less bends as well. All i had to do was weld on a 3 inch 90*elbow to the comp cover. Less piping less lag.

How much bigger is the GT42's compressor housing over the GT40? I have an HKS long runner manifold that sits the turbo pretty low:

That's a 4" inlet pipe on the cold side, to get an idea of the size of the turbo. The 1JZ is pictured, the turbo WILL clear the strut tower bar I have there, I just didn't install it. With the 1.5JZ, it interfered with the strut tower bar, but still clears the hood no problem. A GT42 shouldn't be that much larger in size. It should fit no problem....... assuming you can find an HKS manifold that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
If I can find a good 2JZ manifold for a good price, I might be swayed to sell this manifold, and swap my head over![]()
