A 1.4mm MHG is basically stock HG thickness. With a good tune (and not going boost crazy) that thickness is fine.

thanks, i dont plan on going crazy with boost but maybe 14lbs. ill be using 660's and lex afm with safc to tune.

Using stock thickness on a MHG also assumes that min material was removed from the block/head decks. The correct answer to the thickness question is here:

I wish that was my intent. I just remembered reading the post that I made when George was getting his new hg. I don't know why they would have it on their website if it isn't the truth, but I would definately believe the people on here over them. If Ian, Jdub and others say it's more than 1.2, then I'd take that to the bank. Luckily for me, I'll never have to buy myself another 7m hg.........:biglaugh:

less than 5 thousandths was taken off my block/head....

You should be fine then...that's 0.13mm.
