1/2 throttle and full the same?

I got my stock 7m in my car on Saturday and it's running pretty good, besides massive amounts of oil from the valve covers (new seals and converted it to bolts I just over tightened them :icon_cry: ) but it kinda runs funny. Pretty much anything between 1/4 throttle and full gives me the same thing. I think my timing is off and I have a boost leak on the throttle body coupler but it should run better. I remember hearing other people having this problem and an explanation but I don't know what wording to use to search for it. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

boost leak

you hit more throttle, turbo spins harder, ARM sees more air, but it's not making it in...

it's drowning in fuel and causing you to lose power

What I did about the 3000 pipe to the TB:
Theres a rubber plumbing part called a 'fernco'. Its basically a rubber coupler with hose clamps, that makes the transition from over the pipe to over the fittings' hub. I used a 2 inch fernco, cut each side down a half inch for easier install (has plenty of material), and used the stainless band from a 3" no-hub coupling to cinche things together.

Or possibly bad turbo? When my compressor blades were toast my thing was sluggish as hell. Didn't matter how much gas i gave it. Do you know the state of the turbo?

I'm not sure if the turbo is still good, the motor has 170k and I think it's the original turbo. The blades look good and it has no shaft play, it also boosts to 7lbs no problem. I think I do have a boost leak on that tb coupler because it had several cracks on it. I'll get a new one, set the timing, and see how she feels.

edit: I forgot to mention I think I hit fuel cut a few times, while full throttle several lights on the dash came on very brightly for a few seconds, but it didn't actually affect the engine. This used to happen on my other 7m with a 60-1 but when the light would flash I would get the power cut too, not just the lights flashing.

I'm not throwing any codes, unless I am and the check engine light isn't coming on. I also checked the linkage, and it opens the tb all the way.
