Well, i dont know how many of you are going to care, but i had an awsome night at work yesterday.

We got the 08 STi's in about a month ago i guess. So they wernt anything really new, but last night as luck would have it, my afternoon shift crew was assigned to breaking down a MMC (Mitsubishi Motors Company) boat. Having put on all the price stickers monday night, i knew exactly where all the Evo's were.

Ive read many articles about these two cars compairing them in many differant ways to each other, putting them against each other and so forth. These are just my personal opinions.

When it comes to preformance, the Evo is the hands down winner. Much more instant power is avalable with this car. Right around 3700 the turbo kicks in and wow, is the only real way to describe it. The car drives like it is on rails. The way it handles is absolutly amazing. The steering is extremly responsive, along with the gas and brakes.

As for looks, i find myself leaning towards the STi, even though it is a wagon. Thats a feature i am actually rather fond of. Its got great lines. When i look at the Evo, the 18" wheels look to small, unproportioned to the size of the car. Although, i do like the front end of the Evo alot. Its a very aggresive looking nose to a very bad ass car. Vented hood and around back its got a great looking diffuser. Still, i think the STi takes the cake in the looks contest. Wheels suit the car and the stance, well its almost perfect. Dropped another 2" and it would be. I like the rear spoiler of the STi. Its big, but its not noticable big like the previous years. Both cars have got a good "wide body" look.

Interior. The Evo has got Recaro bucket seats, very nice, and good at keeping you in place when the G forces want to pull you through the door. More less, very basic. CD player, heat controls nothing fancy. But the STi is a little more refined on the inside. I think Subaru is definatly aiming for a higher class crowd. Leather seats, Navi ect. The seats dont hold you so well through corners.

Neither car was ever attractive. So how they look now doesn't bother me at all.

the new sti is ugly.. I LOVED the 04/05s.. Never liked the 06/07 plane front.. I like the look of the new evo though.. the older ones were better, but its still a good looking car. The Sti looks like a body kitted corolla w/ a hatchback or something

Don't really like the new Evo, even uglier than the last generation. I do however like the new STi, at first I didn't like it but it does take a while to get used to it. I work at a Subaru dealership though, so call me biased. Have yet to really drive the new STi around (Our dealership is 1 of 3 in our state to get one this month, were not even letting customers test drive the car), from the small amount I've driven it I can tell you it feels alot like the older STi's, but the power delivery is alot more adjustable thanks to SI drive. I'll probably make up my mind on the new STi when we get some more in and actually taking the car out for more than 2 min isn't a hassle.
