Why was this color available for 1 year only..?

My white package is an 043, and I've noticed my 3 piece spoiler (off who knows what year) is a much more pure white, where the rest of my car is slightly yellowish (atleast it appears that way, compared to the wing)..

Just wondering, because I want to repaint my car, and keep it 043, and was wondering how hard it would be to get my hands on some..

It's true there's many possibilities. You paint could have faded, the wing could have been repainted a different color. Your car may not be 043 unless ur sure its the original paint. As for the 043 paint, what I suggest is call a few body shops and ask them about it. Or if you know where to check, go to a site and see if its available and price it online per gallon.

I got re-sprayed in 043 - I don't think it was all that hard to find. Like others have said, later years are a slightly different "super white" which probably explains the difference in spoiler color.

could be a number of different reasons as to why the wing is a slightly different color. as for how hard the 043 paint code is to get a hold of it shouldn't be hard at all. my 89 n/a all white package targa 5spd was 043 as far as the paint code went. i had my body guy do some work on the car back in late 2004 and he used 043.

i know i found a site a few yrs back that sold that paint code and other toyota/lexus paint codes online in any form u could possibly need. if i can find it again i will post it.
