LMAO at people blaming an Oil Brand (especially a name brand) for causing rod knock. :rofl: You guys are ridiculous. Any regular motor oil alone will not give you rod knock, no matter how "shitty" the oil. If you disagree, then send the oil in for testing and prove that the oil contains something it should not.
Like jdub says, there's another reason. It's not rocket science and it's not your oil brand that gave you r/k. Even the wrong weight (within reason) won't give you an immediate death sentence.
