It's pretty easy to cook Turkey without making it dry. When preparing it - put it in breast side DOWN for at least an hour when cooking, then turn it the right way up - breast gets infused with the juices and fats, skin goes extra crispy :)
Personally, i'm spending it in Guernsey with my gorgeous partner - got all my presents bar a load of chocolate for the grandparents and in-laws :)
The one thing i'm dreading, is the inevitably dry, flavourless turkey that i'll be presented with and have to feign interest in :D
Yah - i just read the post you made a few years back about it - will check them, too. I'm hoping the wear won't be too bad, considering it's a fairly low mileage engine that's been well maintained during its life.
It's been over two years since i updated this thread, and i still have the car, although since my move to the UK, it's been kinda languishing in France. It still starts & drives, but still needs the valve clearances to be sorted and for it to be fitted with an AFPR. It'll take me a few months...
As subject says really - i've restarted the igniter project with Geoff, and if anyone has data regarding the dwell time in milliseconds, it'd be much appreciated!
When you say downpipe do you mean a standard CT26 elbow would fit, or just the downpipe section?
Thats what i thought as well, but was then told by someone at sound performance, via email, that it wasn't water cooled, thus leading to my confusion.

Now that, looks like an interesting upgrade. Price is good, and precision, to my knowledge have a good reputation. Question is - in the images, it looks like the water feed bolts up to it as...
Is 'proper character' a nice way of saying he's a bigoted, sexist, racist asscanoe who'd be doing the world a favour if he died? No matter his skills as a guitar player, the man is abhorrent in every other concievable way. :/
I doubt very much anyone running the AEM is using the same setup as you - most people have long swapped out the stock turbo by now (18psi on a stocker is pointless). If you want maps - go and get your car mapped by someone that knows what they're doing. Mapping costs money, so don't expect...
Well...i've come to a decision. I'm not going to work on it anytime soon, but i will be putting some parts aside, as and when - i'm not going into debt or anything stupid. I'm keeping it. There are a few reasons why i've come to the conclusion i have.
To walk away and part it out now, would...
Back in 2008/2009 when i bought the car, i did. I paid for everything, in cash, up front (in hindsight, a dumb decision). Then over £27,000 was stolen from me and....yeah its a long story. Not so flush anymore, safe to say!
New isn't even remotely an option. I simply can't afford anything like that.
Dirgle - i understand your position, and i've been considering it, but you're right, the UK pool of supra's is fast drying up - the good ones aren't on sale, and the ones that are left, are either shitters, N/A auto's...
Okay....so...the basic gist is, should i give up on my Mk3 or not.
Here's the build thread for it.: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?109708-1990-Toyota-Supra-Turbo-Buildup-Satans-Little-Helper...
Also explains some of the background of the car, too. Now, it starts, runs and...
