Finally back running. Not done though. Drove it around the block with the 6-speed and it feels great! It is making 700whp which is not bad for a street car lol.
Had to do some work in the back since it was rubbing slightly. Still not sure how I got these wheels to fit.
I'll try and give...
Go +35 all around. You should be able to clear 275 all around. A friend of mine cleared 18x9.5 +34 all around with 265 all around no rubbing so 275 should clear. I'll see if I can find a picture.
Got some parts expedited so I can get it running this weekend.
Main issue fixed now.
So I took it for a drive but had to feed the thirsty beast first.
Over all so far so good. I do need to get the car retuned because the intake is causing the car to run lean.
Sweeeet. I should be getting some of the parts I need tomorrow so I might be able to get it running tomorrow!
I had my air filter come in today so I slapped it on. the turbo used to feed to the stock air box for a more stock look. YUCK.
Small update. So ever since the previous owner got his R154 swap done by a shop it has been making some loud noises. He replaced the clutch and flywheel because he thought it was the root of the issue. Turns out this probably was the cause.
So the font bearing retainer broke. Waiting on a...
Missed you guys. It has been a very long time since I have been active on here but maybe I'll make a come back. I'll just leave this pic here and add more info later.
I was giving you recommendations for sizes that will need only minor work to fit and a good look. If you want an agressive fitment where you are willing to roll or even pull the fenders I need to know that.
I just tried to respond to your PM but your box is full. I will just copy it here.
If you want to rotate tires with a square set up you can try something like 18x9.5 +35 with a 275/35/18 all around. It should clear the front and will give you enough traction in the rear. If I have time today or...
Ya. Well it also depends on your ride height and alignment you may be able to get away with those sizes with a good roll. If you are willing to pull I say just get what ever tire size you want and see how it sits with just rolled fenders. Then you can always roll it if you need the clearance.
It will fit But you can probably only go about 265 for tire width so it will be slightly stretched.
Fit will be agressive. If you want to go with a wider tire in the rear you should find something with a higher offset. For a +22 you can go about 265 with rolled fenders.
Last I heard there are still wiring bugs being sorted out. Slow progress because the car was put on the back burner. Hope it is done sooner then later. It is soooooooo close to done but I still don't even know when it will hit the road.
I usually throw 1 or 2 meets a year but nothing in the books right now because I am too busy. If you look on supraforums NorCal section they meet up every once in a while.
