it has to be the afm. my buddy took out the screen and got oil on his and it killed it. (dsm) it had same problems took me a week to figure out what was wrong.

thanx for the info. if the head gasket is blown i will more than likely pull the motor and rebuild it. need to get trans fixed any way. i will try to shot for the 3-400 horse range.

car is hard to start and keep running. does not want to idle and blows whit smoke. after revving it up a couple of times clears up. turn car off and there is still some white smoke coming out. runs great after start up. i think its the I.A.C. but smoke has me wondering. any idea guys?

I just purchased a 87 turbo 5 speed. The trans will not go into 2nd gear just grinds. any idea of problem and where in central kentucky to get it fixed. There is also a whining noise coming from trans. If it cant be repaired anybody have r154 for sell?:1zhelp:
