My Supra is back and better than ever. I took some pics of the engine bay last night, still needs a bit of a clean but it's looking good. Since the engine build its making 280hp at the wheels at 12psi, not bad for almost no modifications. Power is so much more responsive than before...

Yeh its being treated pretty meticulously by the mechanic I've taken it to, he said he'd be doing lots of readings while tuning it. However thanks, I will note that.

Ah okay, well we are going to dial in 14psi, plus the engine has had most major components replaced in the last 10,000km plus its getting a mhg and arp studs, so it'll take it pretty easy. Might see if it can do 16psi, see if the lack of an AFM makes it more usable.

Anyone know where you can order a clear 7M timing belt cover? I saw my cams for the first time bare and naked and I liked it haha. Unfortunately in Oz you can't just take the cover off, or you'll get a yellow sticker from the cops.

Well the guy whos rebuilding the engine wont do any other ECU other than MoTec and they are like 4 grand or something. I'm thinking about just putting in the old ones then going elsewhere later on down the track. It will run with the old ones, just that the caps will wear down eventually.

Nah the cam covers aren't a biggie, if someone wants them stock they can just buy new ones. They were already spray painted when I got it, badly painted silver. Looks like crap, needs to be done.

I'm one of the lucky few, however it does mean I'm stuck with a 7M lest I destroy its originality. I'm looking at doing the cam covers this colour.
