ok i fixed it and i realized what i did wrong:
When i reinstalled the alternator, i didn't replace the rubber washer under the "hot" bolt, so when i reattached the battery it immediatly blew the alternator fuse (100A in the fuse box). So, i grabbed a rubber washer, installed the alternator...
Ok so i just finished putting everything back together, but now i have a new problem. When i connected the negative terminal on the battery, i'm getting no power to the car whatsoever. I mean none. The instrument cluster doesn't work, the dome light doesn't work, no spark, no crank, no...
OK so i just bought an '87 turbo with 81k miles in january (2 months ago). I took it to emissions and it failed. No biggie i figured. So i replaced my cat (random technology is good right?), cleaned my air filter, added red line fuel cleaner, changed my oil and took it back. I failed again...
