I replaced BHG on 1990 Supra 7mge/na. I used a felpro gasket. I initially could not get the car to start after the replacement. But I put a new MAF on her and FINALLY got the timing right and she started but is STILL overheating. Im very frustrated. Should I have used a MHG and also the shop...
Thanks again.. I WILL triple check the timing. Once I do this, and am damn sure that everything is lined up and on "0", because I dont have a timing light. I can turn the distrbutor by hand once the car is idling to see if it improves right??
Tks for the reply! I actually didnt remove the cams, but when I had the head machined (20 1000th of an inch removed) by the machine shop..They told me they removed the cams but assured me that they put them back on correctly. They also ordered me a shim to replace the shaved head and I used it...
